GIVING OPTIONS AND AWARDS
Awards Presentation:
A traditional favorite, the Ruth J. Colvin (LVA Founder and member of National Women's Hall of Fame) Awards are filled with heartfelt thanks from the proud recipients and are one of the memorable moments of conference.
Sponsor the entire awards event for $6,000 or select an individual award for $1,000.
Honor one of last year's 68,000 volunteers. Without them, LVA could not provide high quality
instruction to our adult learners.
To date, LVA has only been able to underwrite student winners' costs. Your sponsorship will help defray conference costs for our volunteer tutors, too!
The Ruth J. Colvin Awards:
- Basic Literacy Student of the Year
- Basic Literacy Tutor of the Year
- English for Speakers of Other Languages Student of the Year
- English for Speakers of Other Languages Tutor of the Year
- Student Leader of the Year
- Administrative Volunteer of the Year
(Awards includes paid conference expenses) $6,000/$1,000 each
Affiliate Awards........................................$500 each
- Affiliate of the Year -- for a community-based program
- Affiliate of the Year -- for an agency-based program (library, college)
Student or Tutor Scholarship Funds
A chance to attach your company's name to LVA's success stories!
Students are eligible to apply for partial reimbursement of conference
expenses that are funded exclusively through private donations. Likewise,
corporate gifts can establish a multi-year fund to send volunteer tutors to
conference for advanced training and networking...........Please inquire
