Welcome to the 26th Annual LVA Conference

According to Dr. Michael R. Bloom, Principal Research Associate for Education and Learning at The Conference Board of Canada, "... more than 40 percent of the U.S. workforce is severely lacking in basic workplace skills. This leaves employers with one solution: to invest in the literacy and basic skills development of their current workforce." LVA's mission is to help adult learners become better parents, better citizens and better employees. Please help us to provide state-of-the-art training to the literacy practitioners, volunteers and students who will attend this conference!

• Student Leadership Institute
  10/ 4/ 00 - Training for students assuming leadership roles in their affiliates. These students are literacy ambassadors to their communities.
