2001: A Literacy Odyssey is the theme of the Literacy Volunteers of America, Inc. national conference to be held at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, October 17-20, 2001. Attendees at the conference will include representatives from the LVA network and from our partner organizations: the American Library Association, Office for Literacy and Outreach Services; Laubach Literacy Action; the National Even Start Association; the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Vocational and Adult Education; and the New Mexico Coalition for Literacy. Exhibits will be located in the Mel C. Aragon SW Exhibit Hall on the main floor of the convention center. Multiple events are being planned during exhibit hours, including a gala reception, coffee breaks, and demonstrations and presentations conducted by vendors and other conference presenters. If you are interested in presenting a session or demonstrating your products or services, please indicate that on the exhibitor agreement form and we will add you to the schedule of Exhibit Hall workshops. Advertising space is available in our conference program, which will be distributed to all registrants and used throughout the conference, and in the Conference Section of our website. The deadline for submitting advertising copy is August 18, 2001. If you cannot attend the conference as an exhibitor, consider advertising as an alternative way to promote your products to LVA conference attendees.
