Good News: Car donations are an excellent way for you to provide additional support to your favorite charity. There are two ways you can accomplish this. First, you can sell your car and send your favorite charity your donation.

Or, you can work with an organization that makes the process much easier.

Great News: ProLiteracy Worldwide is a member of the Independent Charities of America (ICA). As a benefit to us as a member organization, ICA has negotiated with a national company to generously provide a simple and easy way for our donors to donate a car from anywhere in the U.S. to benefit our literacy efforts.

Even Better News: There is no cost to either you or ProLiteracy for this service. All proceeds will be used to fulfill our mission.

If you choose the easy method that ICA provides:

• You will be taken to a form that already shows ProLiteracy's name and address.
• Complete the form showing your personal and vehicle information.
• You will receive a phone call arranging a convenient time to pick up the vehicle.
• The tow truck driver will give you a receipt and a duplicate of that receipt will be mailed to you.
• The vehicle is removed for prep and sale.
• ProLiteracy will receive an email notification so that we can thank you directly.
• ICA sends the proceeds from the sale to ProLiteracy to be used to help adults learn to read.
