Chicken Soup for the Golden Soul

The co-authors of Chicken Soup for the Golden Soul selected Literacy Volunteers of America, along with three other organizations, to share in 10% of the profits of Chicken Soup for the Golden Soul, a collection of stories of people 60 and over living with warmth, wit, and wisdom.

Chicken Soup for the Golden Soul makes a great holiday gift, and includes a story from Tom Harken, author of The Millionaire's Secret and longtime member of LVA's Authors' Guild.

The collection also includes two Christmas stories, "The Door Prize" and "Kathleen's Piano." Though not specifically about Hanukkah, those who celebrate that holiday will enjoy "A Million Dollar Smile" and "Five Dates, Eleven-Hundred Letters, and Fifty-Five Years Later," two magnificant stories about some outstanding Jewish people. "The Four Chaplains" is a stirring story for all seasons and for people from every religion.

Chicken Soup for the Golden Soul is available in most bookstores, by visiting the publisher's website at www.hci-online.com, or by visiting other online sources such as Amazon.com or barnesandnoble.com. In addition, it can be ordered by calling 1-800-441-5569.
