Rx Remedy, Inc. shows gratitude to its panelists by making generous donation to Literacy Volunteers of America, Inc.
Syracuse, NY
--
Literacy Volunteers of America, Inc. (LVA) recently received a generous donation from Rx Remedy research company. Rx Remedy makes donations to several charities, in the names of its many panelists who represent every walk of life and who are committed to communicating current healthcare information to influence the future quality of Americans' health and healthcare. The donations are made every year as a demonstration of Rx Remedy's gratitude to these individuals who contribute knowledge from their experience as healthcare recipients, providing Rx Remedy with an important perspective.
Rx Remedy, Inc. is a healthcare communications and information-services company. The healthcare information that panelists provide comprise longitudinal studies that track healthcare behaviors, attitudes and trends.
LVA serves as a strong resource for literacy education in this country, working for adult non-readers as they make strides to acquire literacy skills. The donation will support LVA's efforts to provide top quality reading and writing materials, services, and training to its 375 affiliates nationwide.
Rx Remedy panelists recognize that the number of adults in this country who are unable to read relates to the number of people that Rx Remedy is able to help. Adult literacy is necessary in order for patients to be directly involved with their medical treatment as well as aware of their medical needs. By supporting LVA, Rx Remedy has helped to ensure LVA's continued success, while at the same time ensuring its own success in improving the health and healthcare of Americans.
Literacy Volunteers of America, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization managed by professionals, which delivers services through a network of 375 community literacy programs in 40 states and the District of Columbia. In the past year, more than 70,000 adults and their families were served by over 50,000 trained LVA volunteer tutors in basic literacy and English proficiency. Founded in Syracuse in 1962, LVA has helped over half a million adults and their families to gain literacy skills.
