ProLiteracy Names New Members to Board, Governance Council
New members add to marketing, business, and literacy expertise

ProLiteracy Worldwide announced today that John Ward, Kevin J. Morgan, and Dr. Stephen M. Reder have been elected to its board of directors and Debbie Yoho has been appointed to the Governance Council of its domestic programs division, ProLiteracy America. ProLiteracy is the largest organization of adult basic education and literacy programs in the world.
Ward is president of mail services in Pitney Bowes Inc.’s global mailing solutions and services division. He has oversight of the marketing, sales, operations, and acquisition activities for the company’s global mail services businesses. Ward holds an MS degree from MIT and a BBA and MBA from Pace University. He joined Pitney Bowes in 2002.
Morgan is president of Full Suspension Marketing, Inc., a Utah-based marketing consulting firm. He earned an MBA in marketing from Keller Graduate School in Chicago, and received a BS in business administration from Illinois State University.
Reder is the chair of the Portland State University Department of Applied Linguistics and a nationally recognized expert on adult literacy and learning. He has been involved in numerous research projects and studies related to adult learning. He also has authored books, articles, and technical reports on the subject. Dr. Reder serves on panels and working groups for the National Institute for Literacy and the U.S. Department of Education. He has a BA degree in Psychology from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in psychology from Rockefeller University.

Yoho is the executive director of Turning Pages, an adult literacy program in Columbia, SC. She has extensive experience in the field of literacy, having worked with students, community organizations, literacy professionals, and non-profit managers.
“Debbie will bring to ProLiteracy a voice for programs that value learner-centered, learner-led instruction,” said David C. Harvey, ProLiteracy president and CEO. “I am looking forward to developing the same solid working relationship with our newest board and governance council members as I have with our current board.”
