Scholarships
ProLiteracy is offering a limited number of partial scholarships to enable adult learners to attend the United States Conference on Adult Literacy (USCAL) in Houston, Texas,November 2-5, 2011.
A series of workshops especially designed for adult learners will be offered throughout the conference, and the opportunity to network with student leaders from around the country is an invaluable experience.
The scholarship amount is a total of $400 per award winner, of which $255 will be provided in the form ofconference registration and meal fees at the point of conference registration. The balance of $145 will help defray travel costs and will be provided on a reimbursement basis after the conference.
The scholarship application form must be received by October 11, 2011:
Only one student per organization may be awarded a scholarship. Applications will be reviewed by members of ProLiteracy’s national Student Advisory Council. Learners who apply for scholarships are asked to not register for the conference at this time. Detailed registration information will be provided along with award notification.
